From a simple family walk with the little ones to a long trek, the Salève is a magnificent activity park full of natural attractions!

Discover the Salève in situ

  The botanical path
Situated at the extreme North East of the upper platform of the cable car, the botanical path has explication signposts all along it at the foot of each species of tree.

The botanical path that starts near the upper station, offers a wide variety of flower species. It is without difficulty and the circuit takes about half an hour. The FEDRE organises visits of this path.

Exhibition about the Salève mule paths

In partnership with the Geneva Natural History Museum, the Cable car hosts a free exhibition in the upper station, about the Salève mule paths, taken by the long robed ladies and their gentlemen in their Sunday best, in the 30s. And to think that the “bikers » also used the same path!

Picnic, birthday tea in a huge playground!

Are you looking for somewhere to organise a birthday party, a tea or a more interesting Sunday meal, and with a picnic!
Come to the Salève!
Picnic areas have been created near the fast food chalet, but also all along the botanical path, situated not far from the cable car’s upper station.

With the new restaurant Horizon, you can also enjoy some delicious, great birthday cakes!

The natural playgrounds are numerous, and children can let off steam and run around where ever their like!

Discover the Salève through the interpretation centre, the Maison du Salève

Exhibition, discovery and awareness centre, the Maison du Salève helps you discover the mountain range, and to understand the relationship between Man and this « mythical » mountain.
The more you are aware of the Salève, the better you protect and preserve it – such is one of the aims of the Maison du Salève.
For all information, consult the site of la Maison du Salève
